They are meant to hold things up but they are kind of flimsy so they slide downwards. In order to fix that I just buy a bit of tape around it but otherwise it is very good for the price.

The hanging space also allows me to set up my outfits for the week.The extra shelf ontop and hooks are bonus storage. The bins are sturdy and stand up on their own even when empty. And the middle shelf can be put at any height so if you want to throw your clothes in the bins without pulling out the bin, you can put the shelf higher. This rack is perfect.
