After hours of searching for a storage box with the dimensions of 15×23 I finally came across this one. The all wood versions of these were way over priced. This “endangered wood” is like the chicken Mc nuggets of wood- but heavy and very sturdy.-Fit and finish is high quality with precisely drilled holes and veneer finish. The trunk is exactly as pictured.-Assembly was straight forward with good directions….till the very end then you kind of have to wing it.-They give you at least one extra of every screw or bolt, which I did not need. Included is Phillip’s head screw driver and an Allen wrench.-Most of the trunk can be assembled by yourself and it will move a little faster if you have a power drill with Phillips screw and Allen adapters. The cover with the hinges does require another person to hold it in place while you screw in the screws.-The last page of the instruction manual has no detailed instructions only pictures, so the remaining assembly does require a little guess work. I had to attach and reattach the large spring hinge because I placed it backwards. No biggie.I ordered a custom fit padded bench cushion to fit the top of the box from Garvee HTRCIH. I also purchased clear Silicone corner protecters to round off the sharp edges of the cover. Finally I am going to cover the inside of the handle slots and possibly the front slot with tape so no dust will get in and accumulate. I also placed several of the small round velcro soft side stickies to soften the wood to wood when you close the lid.
