The press came in the actual mug press box and it was a bit beat up. Next in question is why there isn’t a lable on the entire unit to show the actual brand as what is shown in the photos above. I used on 2 mugs that were 15 oz. but the instructions on how to set time and temperature is confusing and how do you know you have right settings?? Not sure I would buy again knowing all of this now.

I looked at a lot of different mug presses and read a lot of reviews. The price of the mug presses vary greatly depending on whether you want to use it only for mugs or you want to make tumblers or other various drinking vessels as well as various sizes. The price and reviews of this mug press were the deciding factors for me. I have made three mugs so far and they all came out perfectly. I would have liked more detailed instructions though. For example, how long do you need to let it cool before handling it and do you need parchment paper around the mug. I googled both of those questions … about 15 minutes and yes – parchment paper/butchers paper protect the mug and machine. (Make sure to cut the paper down to fit the mug — it helps avoid scorching on the extra paper.) All in all, I am happy with it.
