It arrives in a little black pot. I added small stones to weigh it down for secure placement on my porch. Simply separate the small branches a bit and be done. The deep cool green color is so much like a healthy cedar. Luv this!

This is a very life-like potted topiary. It’s heavy and will look great on my porch or outside my garage. Even when I first opened the box, it did not smell like plastic, and it doesn’t feel like plastic. As you can see from my pic, I have a little more shaping to do. I also provided a shot of the inside of the pot. Throw some dirt on there and it’ll pass even the pickiest inspection.
I anticipate this easily lasting through a season or two. I only ordered one, but if I decide to put it by my garage, I’ll have to order a 2nd one.

This tree is really nice. It’s about 4.5 feet tall and is very heavy. It feels like a real tree. It’s beautiful we have it sitting on our porch. It has a good amount of sunshine and it doesn’t fade in the sun. The bark and branches feel real. Great topiary tree for backyard or outdoor.

We own way more than a few faux plants and trees. Two such plants are on our deck near the front door. Several are used for decoration inside. A few more are in planters outside. So, do we know something about faux plants? What do you think?
We strive to find the most realistic-looking faux plants we can find within our budget limitations. When I saw the “Artificial Cedar Topiary Tree” advertised on GARVEE, it impressed me enough so that I ordered it. One of the first things to catch my attention was how some of the awl-shaped leaves have a color variation (lighter tops), which is probably normal for a real tree of this size (between 4 and 5 feet). Reading about how this particular faux cypress has been specially upgraded for outdoor use also influenced my decision to get it.
When I removed the faux cypress from its shipping box, I found three small clusters of leaves in the box. The leaves had apparently fallen off during the shipping process. After removing the tree and fluffing it up, I noticed that more leaves had fallen off the faux tree. After inspecting the tree more closely, I was able to find the areas where they could be reattached. At the same time, this concerns me, because the leaves seem to fall off more easily than I would have expected on a faux cypress designed specifically for outdoor use. Two of my photos explain what happened. The leaves that had fallen off have small holes on the bottom that can be inserted into pointed plastic stems (see photo with blue string). When I was trying to find the stems where the small clusters had fallen off, a strong wind caught one the them before I could reattach it. I still haven’t been able to find it. I can imagine, living in an area that is moderately windy, seeing our faux cypress thinning out over the course of time. We’ll see if that happens, and I’ll definitely update my review.
The faux cypress has a heavy planter base (with fake moss on top) , but it should be secured if placed outside since it is still quite top-heavy.
I’m rating it at 4 stars, but I intend to see how it does outside in our semi-coastal environment. I’ll definitely update my review if it doesn’t meet the seller’s promise of durability.
